Christian School Won’t Compete in Girls’ Basketball Tourney Because Male Allowed to Play on Opposing Team

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL TEAM SKIPS STATE TOURNEY TO PROTEST MALE PLAYER PRESENCE – A Girls’ basketball team from Vermont is protesting the inclusion of a male player on the Long Trail School Mountain Lions’ basketball team  The player, “Rose” Johnson, is 6’1” and has DOMINATED and physically intimidated the girls he is allowed to play against.

The Mid Vermont Christian School Eagles chose to forfeit the game rather than risk their girls getting injured playing against a physically dominate male. “We believe playing against an opponent with a biological male jeopardizes the fairness of the game and the safety of our players,” said MVCS head of school Vicky Fogg. “Allowing biological males to participate in women’s sports sets a bad precedent for the future of women’s sports in general.”
